What the site does

Elpriskollen turns an electricity price you enter into what you pay per kilowatt-hour in Sweden: retailer mark-up, the grid company’s transfer fee from the Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate’s (Ei) compilation, energy tax set by the Swedish Tax Agency, and VAT. It also shows Statistics Sweden figures on what contracts have cost. Results are estimates; your bills from the retailer and the grid company are what count. The site is independent, sells no contracts and has no link to any energy company, grid operator, power exchange or authority. Method and limits: method and sources.

Liability

Tax rates and tariffs are checked against their sources and the engine is tested automatically, but grid companies may change prices during the year and we cannot guarantee the absence of errors. The publisher is not liable for decisions based solely on an estimate. Report errors through the contact page.

Copyright and data

Texts, graphics and code belong to the publisher. Statistics Sweden data is reused under CC0, Ei open data under the authority’s free-reuse terms, and legal texts under the Swedish principle of public access. Power-exchange spot prices are not republished.
